Introducing technology and methods for the optimal usage of the fluctuating renewable energy (offshore wind) by industry in Zeeuws Vlaanderen and Vlissingen-Oost
Introduction
In this project Entras will, together with 5 partners, look for the most optimal usage of fluctuating energy from the offshore wind parks. This fluctuating energy production brings challanges as well as opportunities.
The sustainable and financial aspects of industrial processes can be improved by smart steering with algorithms. While this sounds straigtforward and easy, the algorithms of Entras take as much parameters and constraints into consideration as is needed, such as applying the European regulation, strictly following the energy markets or the efficient control of production processes.
This European project is supported by the Just Transition Fund. It requires the different partners to share results of the FlexIntensity project so to speed up an efficient and fair transition to a sustainable future.
The project started in January 2024. Results will be shared as they become available.
We worked with Entras from the development of our business case to the contracting of our asset.
Value creation is their leading principle, this during each phase of the project.
