Entras has strong capabilities for applying data analytics in industry. We take pride in developing state-of-the-art optimisation algorithms for any kind of process and any specific boundary condition. This is one of our core capabilities.
Entras participates in several funded research projects:
Dispatching models & tools
- Dispatching of a biogas production facility
- Prediction of degradation in a biomass power plant
- Explosion detection based on data analytics
- Dispatching of an electrolysis facility
- Sootblow optimisation for biomass power plants and for waste incineration plants, producing heat and electricity
- Dispatching of a power-to-X facility
- Dispatching of storage systems (electricity, hydrogen, biogas etc)
- Cost reduction of energy networks (heat, cold, electricity)
- Optimal design of energy systems
Our R&D work covers energy related topics in industry, and focuses on process optimisation while taking into account supply contracts, electricity costs, CO2-emissions, primary energy use, fuel costs and any other relevant parameter.
We develop tailor made models for energy systems. Our models are intended to be converted into real-time control software.
Energy market knowledge
Our R&D covers the mechanisms of the European electricity markets, such as the spot market, the imbalance mechanism, and ancillary services.
